c-type photogram, glass push pins, perspex
25 x 20cm

Inspired by Edwin Moore’s 1900 patent for a push-pin made from glass and steel ,  referencing its use for hanging photographic film whilst drying, this work has involved the creation of handmade glass pins which are then used in the making and subseqeunt display of work. In the dark, multiple pins are placed into a single sheet of 10x8 c-type paper. A laser is passed briefly across the surface, marking the paper and scattering light through the glass. The paper is processed and pushpins re-located in dialogue with their recorded shadows.
