A set of three works are made using a roll of 20 inch photographic paper. The full roll was accidentally exposed briefly to white light. (lights in the darkroom momentarily switched on). Furls of paper are unrolled with the aim of locating the point at which light has ceased to pass through the photograhic material. Before processing each section is positioned on its end, in a loosely rolled cylinder, on the darkroom floor. Lasers are repeatedly passed over and around the tube. Laser exposure passes through each layer of paper, gradually reducing in intensity and diffused by the gaps between the rolls. Once processed, the exposures are re-spatialised as sculptures, their form referencing their undulating passing through the RA4 processing machine.
